Unlike music for a reception, dinner or celebration — where conversation naturally continues around the performance — a private concert creates a dedicated hour for music.
Guests gather and experience a thoughtfully prepared program at close range. The atmosphere may be relaxed — a glass of wine, perhaps dinner before the concert or conversation during intermission — but the music remains at the center of the evening.
For those who love music, it offers something increasingly rare: the intimacy of hearing concert repertoire performed only a few feet away.

Private Concerts are designed for smaller, intimate spaces rather than traditional concert halls. A living room, private dining room, club room or similar setting allows guests to sit close to the violin and experience the music with an immediacy rarely possible in a larger venue.

Plan Your Private Concert
One-hour private concert with intermission
The $550 concert fee includes Heather performing live on violin with carefully selected accompaniment where appropriate.
The one-hour concert with intermission features a thoughtfully prepared mix of solo violin and violin with recorded accompaniment, depending on the repertoire. Accompaniment may include Heather’s own piano recordings as well as professionally produced piano or orchestral tracks.
No piano is required.
No piano is needed at your home or venue, making it possible to enjoy a complete concert program in spaces where live piano accompaniment would not otherwise be possible.

Prefer a Live Ensemble?
For an entirely live chamber music experience, additional professional musicians may be arranged to join Heather.
Depending on the program, possibilities may include violin and piano, violin and cello, string trio, or other chamber combinations.
Because these concerts involve additional musicians, rehearsals and program coordination, they are individually arranged and priced separately from the $550 Private Concert.
For violin and piano programs, a tuned piano must be available at the concert location.

Create Your Own Private Concert Series
For hosts who would like to make music part of their social calendar, a series of three or more Private Concerts can be arranged at special series pricing.
Imagine inviting friends once a month for dinner, wine and a different musical journey — Piazzolla one evening, Paris the next, perhaps an Italian or holiday concert to complete the season.
Programs can change from concert to concert, creating a private concert season of your own.
The host provides the setting and refreshments. Heather provides the concert.

Heather Broadbent is an American violinist and pedagogue with an international performing career spanning the United States and Europe. Her work encompasses solo, chamber and orchestral performance, with appearances as concertmaster and soloist and a lifelong devotion to the classical violin tradition.
